Following the success of their feature debut Jennifer’s Shadow (2004) – an exercise in American Gothic set in a scary land called Argentina – Pablo Parés and Daniel de la Vega worked for a US company on a post-mega-disaster wasteland zombie film in which South America had been turned into an all-purpose, all-materials junkyard, with the undead as the last humane entities around (forget about the humans here!). The project never materialised, but Diego Parés, Pablo’s brother, started to write and draw a comic series based on the screenplay – which so far remains a ruin, as only parts were finished and published. The ECish beauty and balls of Diego P.’s labour of love have now been congenially transformed by the directorial duo into a delightfully old-(1970s)school low-budget production, closer to Romero and Dante than Fulci and Lenzi. And the IFFR audience is in for the treat of treats they get to see the film and can also enjoy the unfinished comic in an exhibition.

Its my all time favorite.I love to watch Yash Chopra films and among them its the best one. Since the year it released i.e 1997 no other film has touched me like this.My extreme love for DTPH is because of following reasons.. -Its tag line touches me i.e someone somewhere...is made for you. -Its story line and Yash Chopra's perfection as a director. -Its superb music by Uttam Singh and above all LATA MANGESHKAR's melodious duets with Udit Narayan.I love its songs; and in them, Lataji's voice (even more than old songs of Lataji) -Uttam singh's background instruments rock me whenever i listen to the numbers. -Shahrukh Khan's first performance in which he didnot deliver dialogs in the way like he earlier used to.He was very serious and his acting was quite,calm and mature.For the same reason he got several awards for this film. -Madhuri's performance was great and so was of Karisma.Both got awards and Karisma also got her first National Award. -I love its screenplay specially in the shots having an acting stage within the film.(See its climax to confirm what i said.) ALONE YET NOT ALONE is based on an inspiring true story taken from a novel of the same name written by Tracy Leininger Craven and depicts a family at a critical juncture in America's history. Fleeing religious persecution in Germany, the Leininger family seeks a new start in uncharted country - America. It is the mid-1700s and British and French forces are struggling for control over the abundant resources of this new territory. Despite the escalating tension mounting around them, the Leiningers give thanks and praise for the sparkling streams and majestic forests around Penns Creek and above all, their freedom to worship. Carving out a homestead can be arduous work, but the Leiningers labor joyfully.
