早已忘记笑容为何物的混混山崎虎儿（长濑智也饰），在替所属帮派新宿流星会催要债款时意外的被逗笑了。逗笑他的就是欠债人——落语（即单口相声）师林屋亭屯兵卫（西田敏行饰）。于是，虎儿决定拜屯兵卫为师，学费就用债务来抵。游走于黑夜的帮派份子有了新的身份“林屋亭小虎”。从没接触过落语的虎儿起初很头疼，意外的邂逅了曾经的落语天才，屯兵卫的次子谷中龙二（冈田准一饰）。极富天分的龙二却执意要经营没有人气造型诡异的服装店“DragonSoda”。二人的相识，在无形中也影响着对方。而虎儿也找到了属于自己的落语，把身边的事结合传统相声，打造出新的落语。每集一个小故事，即是历代相传的经典，也记录着现实里的点滴，或悲或喜。

ArrestedDevelopment讲的是一个很有钱的家庭Bluth家庭的故事.主角Michael是家中二子，他一直辛辛苦苦的为家族工作，希望有一天能够接替父亲GeorgeSr.的位置.结果在第一集里，爸爸GeorgeSr.把董事长的位置交给了他妈妈Lucille.就在大家庆祝爸爸的退休聚会的时候，警察出现，带走了GeorgeSr.，罪名是他们家族的人把集团当成了私人提款机，到处乱花钱.Michael原本很受伤，打算去另一个公司工作，最后还是决定留在家族打理各种事务.主要角色还包括GOB,Michael的大哥（由AmyPoler的老公扮演）.GOB是一位魔术师，成天只有破坏没有建设，还有点异想天开.Michael的儿子，GeorgeMichael（汗）.GeorgeMichael有着良好的家教，算是这个自私自利家族里的异端（他爸爸偶尔会耍点怀心眼），曾经暗恋自己的堂妹Maeby（发音Maybe).Maeby的妈妈就是Michael的妹妹Lindsay.毫无工作的她目前正在和丈夫Tobias处在离婚边缘.花钱大手大脚，有点大小姐.Tobias原本是个心理医生，因为无意中救错人而被吊销执照.希望成为一名演员，同样有些异想天开.他很害怕暴露身体，所以从来里面都穿着条牛仔短裤，这也使得他和Lindsay的性生活很有问题.Buster是家族中最小的儿子，因为从小到大都和妈妈住在一起，所以有些恋母情节（更感觉有些同性恋）.在第二季度因为老妈被一个长得象MichaelMorre的人逼问会不会送小孩去伊拉克而被报名参军.之后赌气下海游泳而被海豹咬掉左手，目前用铁钩代替.这部片的拍摄手法是使用纪录片的手法，偶尔会对故事里提到的事进行闪回.搞笑的是家族里的人的各种古怪事和相互算计以及通过闪回带来的幽默.画外音是由RonHoward来配的（奥斯卡最佳导演获得者）.在第二季度里面，他们发现了老爸GeorgeSr.不仅私挪公款,还和萨达姆进行交易.
